At fkin last! This has got to be the bane of all motoring bad habits and biggest cause of motorway traffic jams.
Why is it so difficult to get into a vast percentage of drivers' thick heads to keep left unless you are overtaking.
Before anyone tries to stereotype the type of person that does this I am convinced that both sexes are culpable and no particular racial background or age group are worse than another.

Ok I won't defend genuine lane-hogging which is really annoying, but I really do hope they've thought long and hard about the proper definition.
I've lost count of then number of times I've considerately moved over, even though I can see I'm gaining on someone on the left some way ahead, because the person behind is clearly wanting to go faster than me, only to find myself stuck when I reach the person ahead because of a big line of cars to my right. Now if I opted not to move over in that situation, would I be a middle lane hog? I'd be pretty pissed off if I was fined in that situation.

I got overtaken and beeped by 2 blokes yesterday for doing 30 in a 30 mile an hour speed camera zone.
I know the area is notorious for catching people, I've seen it happen at 33mph!
So I slow down. Doing 30.
They come speeding past at easily 50...
Why are drivers such stupid fucking cunts?!

Most police forces allow a tolerance of 10 % plus two, so sounds harsh.
Middle lane hoggers are a pain in the arse, i try to point out the error of their ways by undertaking them (two wrongs I know), but they probably wouldn't get the message.

Because every lane except for the lefthand one is for overtaking.
I've had to undertake cretins in the outside lane when there's not much traffic, they are either morons or bloddy minded cuntburps.

What amuses me most are the drivers who feel afronted and must take the law into their own hands usually creating far more dangerous situations. Now they are proper cunts.

The article does not give much info about the way thr bloke was driving. What speed was he doing, was he quicker than the inside lane etc? And how did he cause other drivers to break heavily and swerve to avoid him?
I came south down the M11 on Saturday and on the two lane part between Cambridge and Stansted it took a lorry nearly four miles to overtake another one. That to me was driving in an inconsiderate wat too.

Hermit they are all 70mph lanes, 70mph max speed. They shouldn't be able to prosecute anyone middle lane hogging at 70mph as this would imply they are encouraging people to break the law.
